    The City of Grand Rapids was awarded $1,078,852 from the Community Development Block Grant Program under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  This special allocation, referred to as the CDBG Recovery (CDBG-R) Program, is administered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  It is intended to stimulate the economy through measures that modernize the nation’s infrastructure. 

    The CDBG-R Substantial Plan Amendment (PDF) authorizes use of program funds and contains information about specific projects.
