Pool Rules
The following rules have been established to keep our pools safe and fun for everyone!
- Regardless of age, children needing assistance or unable to swim must have adult supervision. You must be at least 10 years old to enter the pool and/or deck alone during open swim and tall enough to have your head out of the water at the shallow end. (Children shorter or younger than this will be allowed in the pool area only if supervised by a person 18 years or older who will stay with them at all times.) Anyone under the age of 10 MUST have an adult in the water with them and be within arms length at all times.
- Commercial swim apparel is required to enter the pool enclosure and water (no cut-offs, mesh shorts, T-shirt, etc.). Toddler suits with flotation inserts are not permitted. No street clothes or shoes are allowed on the deck.
- Swimmers must take a soap shower before entering pool.
- Please do not use disposable diapers of any kind. Only "Little Swimmers" are permitted.
- No food, gum, beverages, and glass containers in the pool area and locker rooms. All food and non-alcoholic beverages may be purchased at the pool concessions and consumed in designated areas.
- Diving is only permitted off the diving boards. No back dives or back flips allowed.
- Non-swimmers and weak swimmers must stay on the shallow side of the lifeline.
- Weather conditions may change pool hours. The pools will close when thunder and/or lightning occur, when there is a severe thunderstorm watch or tornado watch, or a severe thunderstorm warning or tornado warning. Pools will reopen as soon as an all clear signal is given if the warning ends before the first hour of the evening swim period. No refunds will be given if inclement weather closes the pools.
- Parents please be sure the pool is open before dropping off children. Swimmers will not be allowed to use or take such things as flotation devices, "water wings", toys, snorkel equipment, etc. in the swimming enclosure. Due to the large number of swimmers, pool staff cannot replace the proper supervision of a parent.
- Smoking will not be allowed within pool enclosures or bathhouse.
- Persons with open sores are not allowed to enter the pool.
- Swimmers must clear the water immediately when signal is sounded and must not re-enter until the all clear is given by the Pool Manager.
- Running, horseplay, and other dangerous activities are not allowed.
- Pool Managers are authorized by City Ordinance to exclude and expel from the pool area any persons who violate these regulations or exhibit inappropriate behavior.
