Available City Owned Property

The City of Grand Rapids occassionally has vacant parcels available for residential development and some commercial properties. Most are tax reverted and sold with the requirements of redevelopment.

Though terms and conditions for the development of commercial properties varies, buyers of buildable residential lots are required to construct a single-family housing unit on the lots within one year of the date of purchase.

Tax foreclosed properties are now processed through Kent County's Treasurer's Office.  Please contact the County for information about tax foreclosures and the auction.

Outer Space Grand Rapids is LISC’s programming for underserved neighborhood commercial districts outside of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Neighborhoods strive for a robust mix of retail goods and services accessible for residents and visitors alike. Businesses struggle to attract customers, not understanding demographics and demand. The proximity goes underserved.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation offers a decision-support tool for market areas comprised of neighborhoods and business districts that showcase new-found perspectives about neighborhood-serving investment opportunities. Are you ready to discover untapped potential in neighborhood commercial markets of Grand Rapids’ central city neighborhoods?
