The City of Grand Rapids occassionally has vacant parcels available for residential development and some commercial properties. Most are tax reverted and sold with the requirements of redevelopment. Though terms and conditions for the development of commercial properties varies, buyers of buildable residential lots are required to construct a single-family housing unit on the lots within one year of the date of purchase. Tax foreclosed properties are now processed through Kent County's Treasurer's Office. Please contact the County for information about tax foreclosures and the auction. For more information please call Eric Soucey at (616) 456-3197. |
