The Grand Rapids Fire Department conducts annual fire inspections of businesses within the City of Grand Rapids. The Fire Prevention Bureau (FPB) has now instituted a business Self-Inspection Program that a business owner can conduct. The program consists of a check list of the most common violations of State and Local Fire Codes. The inspection should be conducted annually.

- Mercantile Occupancies
Having a yearly inspection, whether you or the FPB inspector conducts the inspection, helps you maintain a fire safe work place and helps us keep our records updated regarding your business.
