    NOTICE: All real (ad valorem) property taxes due as of March 1st are transferred to the Kent County Treasurer.  Kent County is the collection agent for delinquent real property taxes.  Tax amounts and payments displayed are valid from July of the year taxed through the following February.

    NOTICE: The City transitioned internet property tax service to The services offered to customers are free of charge.  You may look up your current and historical tax bills.  This is also a good resource to see the various local taxes you are paying. You have the ability to search by parcel number and street address. There will also be a link to MAKE AN ONLINE PAYMENT if you have an amount outstanding.  By clicking this button, you will transfer to our internet payment provider.  There is a service fee of 2.98% if you are paying with a credit card. There are no service fees for eCheck payments.

    The Property Tax and Assessment site grants access to some basic property information. The assessed and taxable values are accurate as of the date transferred to the Web.  The PRE (Principle Residence Exemption) information are as accurate as of the transfer date.  The building and land information is from the upcoming assessment year. The information is subject to change before Tax Day, December 31. With continuous development activity in the city, this data is for reference only. The information presented is solely for the convenience of the parties making inquiries.   Please refer specific questions to the appropriate City department.

    The City of Grand Rapids collects ad valorem real property taxes through the last day of February. All ad valorem real property taxes outstanding on March 1st are delinquent.  Delinquent taxes shift to the Kent County Treasurer's Office for continued collection. When this site indicates that the prior year's taxes are not paid, this represents the status as of March 1st.  For taxes transferred to the county,  you must contact the county treasurer for the current status.  This pertains  to any delinquent taxes transferred to the county.
